This is the family arrowhead collection

My uncles, my cousin and I found them.
Most were probably found in Heard County, Georgia.

My cousin found the large one right in his back yard.

My wife placed them in this nice display case.
They had been sitting in a paper sack for over 20 years.

There seems to be a great variety. Maybe even a Clovis?

I don't know if the large one is a knife or a hoe? The end got chipped

They are sealed in the case. Otherwise I would have taken them out for better photos.

Any comments about these would be appreciated. Please email me: webmaster@go2stones.com

02/24/01 I searched a good location in my back yard, down toward the stream.
This is what I found. Almost wish I hadn't gone. :-)

It looks almost like a nuclear submarine. It's a fairly heavy dark gray rock.
The notch thing broke off as I was pulling it out of the ground.
It has a very round cylindrical shape. Maybe it's a stone-age tent peg.

dsc00257.jpg (53342 bytes) dsc00260.jpg (51740 bytes) This thing is probably nothing either, but it shows wear around the notch.

dsc00261.jpg (55809 bytes) dsc00262.jpg (57451 bytes) And this is suspicious by being so round.
