Sunrise on May 14th and we were cruising up Stephens Passage toward Juneau, 292
nautical miles since we left Ketchikan the day before. Incredible scenery...as
usual.

And the usual tugboat stood by to greet us
as we saw Juneau
come into view.
Population 30000, 3100 sq. miles in size.
This image shows the cable car leading up for a better view of Juneau.
And the ruins on an old gold mine,
maybe the old Treadwell mine?
This is the town
including
the Harley Davidson
dealership,
and a totem pole.
Juneau is the capitol of Alaska.
This is the state government building, home
of the governor and the legislature. And this is a replica of the Liberty Bell.

We took an excursion across the river for a better view of Juneau.
We also saw our sister ship, the Celebrity Infinity, pulling out of the harbor

as an eagle watched too.

This bronze bear
was guarding a salmon fishery we visited next.

On to Glacier Gardens.
Those trees are upside down and stuffed into the ground to become planters!
We went via golf cart
up to the top of the mountain behind the gardens.
The view of Juneau was great.
